The population of adults 65 and older living in the U.S is projected to increase 20% by 2050 according to the United Nations. With the increase in older adults within our community, new advancements in technology and modern medicine, and ever changing culture norms it is critical to provide services to this population. Alliance advocates play an important role in helping older adults and persons with disabilities realize their rights by providing all-encompassing advocacy services, resources available to them, community support, and the opportunities they have to help themselves.
